Recently, Gov. Josh Stein (D) vetoed a bill that would reduce early voting days and allow voters ballots to be challenged up to three days after Election Day.
Speaking before Stein’s veto, Democratic North Carolina House Minority Leader Robert Reives outlined the control Republicans in the General Assembly have over the state’s elections.
Reives warned that the state’s democracy was being eroded as Republicans continued to chip away at voting rights and draw legislative and congressional districts favorable to them.
