Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley will enter the race for US Sen. Thom Tillis’ seat. Here’s what to know about him.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley will enter the race for US Sen. Thom Tillis’ seat, Politico reported on Thursday.

Tillis announced last month he won’t run for reelection. Whatley’s decision comes after Lara Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, declined to run.
