🙏 I just have to say this

I hate it when people lecture so I’m not going to do that. But I will say this:

Voting is important and consequential to the fate of humanity. But when you do it, it gives strong “checking out a library book” vibes.

It can even be anti-climatic. I’d dearly love it if for every person who votes, we get that “sparklers and throwing rice” processional that newly married couples get. But unfortunately we just have to soldier on with the knowledge that we’re a good citizen.

Saturday is the final day of early voting in North Carolina. Which makes it also the last day that you can register and vote in the same trip.

Find your county early voting sites by going here. You can vote at any early voting location you want to.

Only registered voters can vote on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 3. For all the voting info you need—including your sample ballot, the latest news, and a breakdown of the constitutional referendums, go to Cardinal & Pine’s 2026 Voter Hub.

Me voting a couple years ago. It was undramatic, really easy, and I probably had time afterward to go get a cinnamon bun or something.
