Rep. Deborah Ross, a Democrat who represents North Carolina in Congress, argued Republicans’ immigration bill is written so broadly that it could sweep immigrant children into criminal liability.

Ross, an attorney and former head of the ACLU of NC, said she doesn’t trust the Trump administration to fairly enforce the law, adding that it “can’t do the right thing under our current law.”
