Sept. 15-Oct. 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month. Durham-based Mexican American artist Antonio Alanis has written two children’s books that highlight the stories of immigrant families.
The books arrive with many advocates for immigrants saying that families are living under a threat from the Trump Administration and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Alanis told Cardinal & Pine why he wrote the books.
