The Texas screwworm outbreak could wreak havoc on the US cattle industry, but quarantine efforts at the state and federal levels should prevent the parasite from coming to North Carolina, experts from NC State University told Cardinal & Pine.
Still, an honest description of screwworms might require a few curse words, Dr. Andy Moorhead, a parasitologist and veterinarian at NC State, said.
