On July 18, a North Carolina reporter was denied entry to a campaign event for Republican US Senate candidate Michael Whatley in Waynesville.
This is the latest clash between Whatley’s campaign and the press. Earlier this month, GOP organizers called the police on one reporter and denied entry to another award-winning news outlet from Raleigh.
Worse still, the reporter Republicans blocked over the weekend covers hurricane relief in western NC.
