Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney, one of a few Republicans who broke with Donald Trump following the Jan. 6 insurrection, made her endorsement during a recent trip to North Carolina.
Liz Cheney, who before Donald Trump came along was considered one of the most conservative members of the Republican Party, told an audience at Duke recently that she would be voting for Kamala Harris in November.
Cheney, a former congresswoman from Wyoming, lost her re-election bid in 2022 because of her fierce opposition to Trump after he incited the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol.
She is among the most high-profile of the small but growing number of Republicans who have called Trump a danger to Democracy and national security.
