NC auditor: $24.2 million charged to Cary town credit cards


If you’re wondering where taxpayer money went… a new North Carolina audit points to a $3,400 penthouse stay, $220 steaks, $1,600 Ray-Bans, and more than $24 million in town credit card spending.

State Auditor Dave Boliek says the findings reveal a “culture of extravagant spending” inside Cary government.
