Sarah Crawford represents Wake County in the North Carolina House of Representatives and serves as CEO of TLC, a nonprofit provider of residential and therapeutic services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Fred Lewis has practiced public interest law and advocacy for over 40 years. He, along with his wife Dawn, moved from Austin, Texas in 2023 to Winston-Salem to be closer to their grown children.

Courtney Alexander is program director at MDC Inc., a North Carolina organization that advocates for economic mobility and equity. Courtney worked as a childcare site manager and center director for summer camp, afterschool, early head start, NC-PreK, Meck Pre-K, and home-based childcare from 1993 to 2024.

Rachel Phipps is a devoted health advocate and educator who brings personal and professional experience to the community. A native of New Jersey, she found herself to be at home in Concord, North Carolina.

Stevie Brooks was born and raised in Western North Carolina. As a community organizer in Cleveland County, she is an advocate for rural voices and stories.
