The cost of groceries continues to soar, and gas prices have risen to over $4 per gallon in many parts of North Carolina due President Trump’s decision to go to war against Iran. 

At a rally in support of former Gov. Roy Cooper’s US Senate campaign, State Sen. Natalie Murdock said Republican nominee Michael Whatley is downplaying the cost of living crisis.

“While you’re getting hit with rising grocery, health care, and utility costs, Michael Whatley keeps telling us that costs are down,” Murdock said.
