Screwworm is unlikely to affect beef prices unless Texas outbreak expands, NC state professor says


State and federal quarantine efforts tied to the Texas screwworm outbreak are working so far, NC State University professor Zach Raff told Cardinal & Pine, but beef prices in North Carolina could increase if the parasite spreads north to states where cattle are packed together in huge numbers.
