Dr. Rachel Brown of Asheville spoke out against Republican congressional candidate Jennifer Balkcom’s vote for North Carolina’s 12-week abortion ban and past remark that “abortion is never medically necessary.”
“We’ve seen the consequences of North Carolina’s ban. The ban that Jennifer Balkcom voted for. Women being forced to delay their care, they have suffering, and they’re putting their healthcare, their future fertility, and their lives at risk,” Brown said.
