Gary Pearce has worked in politics and journalism in North Carolina for more than 40 years. In 1976, he went to work in Jim Hunt’s first campaign for Governor.
Gary was Governor Hunt’s press secretary, speechwriter and adviser through all Hunt’s campaigns for Governor and his four administrations, as well as his unsuccessful campaign against Senator Jesse Helms in 1984.
