In honor of his legacy, every year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, organizations across North Carolina hold days of service, giving community members a chance to volunteer and help others, just like Dr. King did.
Monday marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday that commemorates the life of the civil rights icon who fought for equality, justice, and to improve the lives of all, at home and abroad.
King believe deeply and firmly in the importance of serving and helping others. “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” Dr. King said.
