Republicans in Congress are pushing forward with legislation that could cut and delay access to essential care from Veteran Affairs (VA). We talked with a North Carolina veteran about it.
“This is a state where we’ve seen multiple cuts both to hospitals and to inpatient bed capacity, to the tune of about 404 beds … it’s a problem that will get significantly worse if we see major cuts to the VA,” Alex Rich, a US Air Force veteran recently told Cardinal & Pine.
