Sip ‘n’ paint, drive-in movies, or how about a low-pressure coffee date? Our picks for your next date night.

Whether you’re in a relationship or in the dating market, it’s always a good idea to have a few date ideas in your back pocket.

Here are 10 spots in and around Raleigh, ranging from no-pressure coffee dates to high-speed racing to get you started:

Sip ‘n’ Paint, Raleigh

Get to know your date over a bottle of wine and a painting!

Pinot’s Palette in Brier Creek offers guided paint sessions where you can get to know your date and leave with your own piece of art. Their classes in October feature pumpkins, Autumn leaves, and even a few spooky paintings!

Go-Kart Racing, Morrisville

Looking for an adrenaline rush? Check out Rush Hour Karting in Morrisville! This two-story indoor track is a great way to have fun and see your date’s competitive side.

Their go-karts reach speeds of almost 40 mph and when you’re done racing on the track you can check out their axe-throwing lanes, golf simulator, and restaurant.

NC Museum of Art

The NC Museum of Art is a 164-acre park with indoor galleries, outdoor sculptures, and events throughout the year. This is a fun way to get to know your date through art, history, and the outdoors!

Play with Baby Goats, Chapel Hill

Spend a day at Spring Haven Farm wandering the grounds and getting up close and personal with highland cows, pot-bellied pigs, and horses.

If you want to go a step further and cuddle with baby farm animals, reserve a baby goat cuddling session for you and your date! Keep an eye on their newsletter for updates on special events like the Halloween-themed “Boos and Booze” farm session.

Drive-In Movie, Raleigh

The Triangle Drive-In is the place to be for a fun movie experience. Open every weekend, they feature an ever-changing list of movies. They’re starting off October with Disney’s Haunted Mansion and The Creator, and finishing it off with the Taylor Swift Eras Tour: Concert Film.

Morgan Street Food Hall, Raleigh

Morgan Street Food Hall is an upgraded food court, axe-throwing lounge, and beer garden all in one.

For the dates where you just can’t decide what type of food you want to eat, Morgan Street lets you (and your date) try it all. They have everything from lobster sandwiches to empanadas and Indian curry.

ORO Restaurant and Lounge, Raleigh

Dim Sum Asian Bistro is the place to go for dim sum in the Triangle. Meant for sharing, you and your date can order multiple small dishes of dumplings, pork buns, sesame balls, savory pancakes, and more!

Meeples Brew, Cary/Morrisville

At two locations in the Triangle, Meeple’s Brew is a board-game coffee shop where you can get to know your date over The Game of Life and a cup of coffee.
