The president plans to raise taxes on billionaires and giant corporations to help fund more affordable housing and child care, while keeping taxes the same for those earning under $400,000 per year.
“Juneteenth is about celebrating freedom. And the one thing that we know is, the price of freedom is not free. There was a lot of hard work, a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and even lives that were given up in order to get African-Americans their freedom,” he said.
The former president has cozied up to fellow billionaires in recent months as he’s become increasingly anxious to avoid prison, and therefore needs cash to fund his legal and campaign fees. In exchange, he’s promising to once again pass tax cuts for corporations and the super rich.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh, writing on behalf of the Supreme Court, wrote that while the plaintiffs did not have standing to sue over the FDA's regulation of mifepristone, “it is not clear that no one else would have standing to challenge the FDA’s relaxed regulation of mifepristone.”
During the first quarter of 2024, there’s also been a 13% drop in aggravated assault, according to the FBI. Murder and rape both decreased by about 26%. Robbery decreased by 18% and property crime declined 15%.
Roughly 15 million Americans have medical debt on their credit reports. The new rule means that debt will no longer be able to depress their credit scores and make it more difficult for them to get a job, rent an apartment, or secure a mortgage or car loan.
The proposals would modify existing labor laws to exclude “uniform” employer coverage for abortion, making it more challenging for patients in red states to seek care across state lines.
Trump’s time in the White House saw no changes to the staggering cost of insulin for patients, and it was two laws signed by Biden that helped lower insulin costs to $35 per month for millions of Americans.
The bill would have guaranteed the right for Americans to obtain and use birth control without government interference. It would also protect the right of health care providers to distribute information about contraception and provide it to patients.
