In partnership with Charlotte city leaders, the artists painted the sprawling mural uptown, crafting a theme for each letter.

Sixteen artists, one mural, one statement.

Working in partnership with city leaders, 16 artists collaborated to create a sprawling Black Lives Matter mural in uptown Charlotte Tuesday.

Each artist took a separate letter with its own theme, stretching down Tryon Street for most of the day Tuesday.
