Puppy playdates

The golden retrievers of Holly Springs have been eager to meet one local superfan.

According to ABC 11, Jennifer Dunsmore posted on local community pages in search of golden retrievers after her son Gordon said he wanted to use his allowance to meet one. Soon after, hundreds of messages from golden retriever owners flooded her inbox, hoping to set up playdates.

Gordon has since played with many enthusiastic puppies, yet he hopes to meet all of the golden retrievers who stole his heart.

Trolls take on North Carolina

A gang of giant trolls will soon find a new home across North Carolina.

The wooden sculptures, a project by artist Thomas Dambo, are made entirely from recycled materials to showcase how trash can be turned into something beautiful. From five new statues in Dix Park in Raleigh to a temporary exhibition at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, these trolls will be scattered across the state.

The sculpture will be coming to Dix Park, High Point and Charlotte in October. They will be joining a family of more than 150 other trolls across the globe.
