Allison Bustillo Chinchilla is a 20-year-old nursing student who takes care of the elderly.
But after the FBI raided her apartment in search of someone else, she was taken by ICE and has spent the past five months in detention, separated from her mother and three brothers.
Now, her mom, Keily Chinchilla, is speaking out about how the family was treated by agents from the US Department of Homeland Security, her daughter’s detention, and what Allison is like.
“She is a good daughter. She likes taking care of elderly people in her work, and also takes care of her autistic brother. She’s a young woman who is very dedicated to her studies. She has goals and is a very calm person… She came here as a child full of dreams and goals, and has worked hard every day to achieve them.”
