Taurus is about practical energy with a taste for the finer things. We have ideas for appreciating that in NC.

Welcome to Taurus season, notoriously associated with the bull, and the second sign of the zodiac calendar. While those born in this season (April 20th – May 20th) may feel especially in their element right now, according to renowned astrologer, Alexandria Lettman, no one is immune to the energy of Taurus. Read on for how you may notice it showing up in your life.

In general, Taurus season blends grounded, practical energy with an appreciation for the finer things in life. It’s a time when a commitment to internal goals and long term planning pays off—it’s the proverbial turtle that wins the race.

While that may seem like a lot of work, remember that the other pillar of Taurus season deals with material indulgence in comfort and luxury. If there were a buffet alongside that metaphorical race, it would be filled with meats, cheeses, chocolates, and ruby red fruits.

This year, Taurus season comes with a plot twist: the infamous Mercury Retrograde, which is basically a time where things don’t go as smoothly as anticipated. There tends to be a lot of miscommunication, delays (in an already slow-moving season), and even technological malfunctions.

We took a look at a few sources, Well+Good’s spiritual health column and Jupiter Jewel’s Taurus season tips. Here’s how Taurus Season will work with each of the zodiac signs:

March 21 – April 19

You have lots of opportunities coming your way, but they could create uncertainty when you’re trying to make decisions. Astrologist Alexandria Lettman recommends slowing down to evaluate your past experiences before planning your best move.

April 20 – May 20

You’re experiencing a full social life this season (it is your birthday, after all), but make sure your schedule doesn’t get away from you. You could be in for some work miscommunications—so be clear and seek clarification from those around you.

May 21 – June 20

Taurus season encourages you to look inward, build up your self-confidence, and work self-care into your routine. For your sign, Lettman suggests things like decluttering your room, cleaning out your social media feed, or trying out a morning stretch routine.

June 21 – July 22

While you’ll feel especially affectionate towards the end of Taurus season, remember to be intentional about spending time with your loved ones—their support will feel especially good right now.

July 23 – August 22

This is a time to delve deeper into the quality of your work rather than pushing forward to the next thing. You may also be hoping for attention from others, but look inward to see if you are practicing self-love as well.

August 23 – September 22

Your attention is being pulled to the present moment and past experiences. You have the opportunity to learn about the roots of your beliefs and perception of the world if you take the time to do so.

September 23 – October 22

If you’re becoming anxious about money or other forms of security, try not to panic or make drastic decisions. The end of May will bring an increased sense of clarity.

October 23 – November 21

There is a lot of emotional change coming your way that could set you on a much different path to the one you’re currently on. Communicate clearly with your partner and express your appreciation for the important people in your life.

November 22 – December 21

Recently, you have been occupied with a busy work schedule and life events, but this season encourages you to slow down for the sake of your mental, physical, and emotional health.

December 22 – January 19

Love is in the air for you. If you’re open to a relationship, you may meet a potential long-term partner. Take your time feeling out the situation and establishing a solid foundation. If you’re in a relationship, let your partner nurture you.

January 20 – February 18

Be gentle with yourself if you are not feeling productive this season—this may feel uncomfortable, but take time to explore how you can calm your mind. This is also a good time to reflect on what you want and need out of life.

February 19 – March 20

Self-love and self-care is all important for you this season. Evaluate whether you are receiving  the support, love, and attention that you give to others, and determine how to course correct if you’re not.
