The 48th annual holiday parade, scheduled for December 5, 2024, promises to bring cinematic magic to life with its “Holidays on the Big Screen” theme.
Paralympic medalist to lead star-studded parade

The parade, beginning at 3 p.m., will feature Carson Clough, silver medalist from the 2024 Paralympic Triathlon Games, as Grand Marshal. Adding to the celebrity presence, WBTV News Anchor Alex Giles will join the festivities as a special guest.
Attendees can expect a spectacular procession, including marching bands, fire trucks, decorated floats, and the highly anticipated appearance of Santa Claus.
Evening light display & visitor information
Following the daytime celebrations, JIRDC will activate its holiday light display, which will illuminate the campus daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. through December 31, 2024. The display offers visitors an extended opportunity to experience the holiday magic throughout the season.
Traffic & parking arrangements
To ensure smooth traffic flow and visitor safety, JIRDC has implemented comprehensive logistics plans:
- One-way traffic pattern around the perimeter road starting at noon
- Second entrance closure at noon on parade day
- Front entrance restricted to emergency vehicles from 2:30 p.m.
- Designated handicapped parking areas
- No roadside parking permitted on Enola Road
- Limited parking availability due to ongoing construction
