Video: North Carolina veteran on Republican cuts to Veteran Affairs

Republicans in Congress are pushing forward with legislation that could cut and delay access to essential care from Veteran Affairs (VA). We talked with a North Carolina veteran about it.

“This is a state where we’ve seen multiple cuts both to hospitals and to inpatient bed capacity, to the tune of about 404 beds … it’s a problem that will get significantly worse if we see major cuts to the VA,” Alex Rich, a US Air Force veteran recently told Cardinal & Pine.

Republicans in Congress are pushing forward with legislation that could cut and delay access to essential care from Veteran Affairs (VA) that men and women like Rich earned as a result of their service.
