Video: Allison Riggs vows to fight for military voters after North Carolina Supreme Court decision

April 21, 2025
Speaking to supporters in Raleigh, Justice Allison Riggs recently called for all military and overseas votes to count in the race for North Carolina Supreme Court.
Riggs’ remarks come after the North Carolina Supreme Court ruled this month that up to 5,500 military and overseas votes could be tossed out, unless they provide a form of photo ID within a 30-day period that has yet to begin.
The ruling comes after the losing candidate, Jefferson Griffin, refused to accept defeat and sued to throw out enough ballots so that he could be declared the winner instead of Riggs.
Riggs, a daughter and sister of veterans, said this is personal for her. “I will not let one voter slip through the cracks,” Riggs said.
